History & Background

Jafferjee & Co, established over a century ago, presented as a colossal departmental souk in the Subcontinent, specializing in genuine leather saddle kits, shoes and other hand crafted leather items primarily serving the British Indian army at the time.

In a short span of time Jafferjee successfully established its name on firm grounds in British India. It was during these years that unfortunately the city of Quetta was struck by catastrophe, a devastating quake in 1935 that washed away all the possessions. The Jafferjee family had no choice but to move to another metropolis and Karachi seemed to be steadily mounting as a vibrant city for Indian trade. Thus Jafferjee & Co. was brought into being again in Karachi and soon became idolized among karachites gaining immense popularity among the elite class whilst developing overseas clientele as well. After World War 2 and during the later years of the British Raj the renowned name was acknowledged all over India and conceded on to generations. Today, Jafferjee & Co. operates with its mainstream reputation providing the best of its quality.
